In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Second Harvest needed to scale FoodRescue.ca nationally, distributing $4.5 million in grants to agencies across every region of Canada.
The engagement with Second Harvest FoodRescue.ca was a two-pronged strategy, combining comprehensive public awareness and earned media coverage with targeted direct outreach to food rescue agencies.
Using automated list building and outreach technology, the campaign reached over 28,000 agencies and prospective food donors in just 12 days. All funds were successfully allocated to recipient agencies within one month.
